Our commitment
Despite careful research and review, mistakes can happen — especially when fees, products and tax rules change. When we become aware of a material error, we correct it promptly and transparently.
How we handle corrections
- Minor fixes (typos, formatting) are made without a formal note.
- Material corrections (a wrong fee, figure or factual claim) are updated in the content and the guide's "last updated" date is revised.
- Significant corrections that could have affected a reader's understanding are noted on the relevant page.
How to report an error
If you spot something that looks wrong, please tell us. Include the page, the specific detail you believe is incorrect, and a source if you have one. The fastest way is via our contact page.
We read every correction request and aim to respond within five working days. Accuracy matters more to us than being right first time.
For how we research and review in the first place, see our editorial policy.
